Benefits of Diane Pulley's Appointment at Vigo Software
Vigo Software Ltd has gone through a ton of changes over the last eight years. With all the uncertainty in the industry, the company has had to shake up its products and business processes just to stay afloat and keep aligned with its competition. This push for change has created a tough environment for everyone involved.
As the main shareholder and key driver of the business for those 8 years, I personally recognised that I needed to therapy and began my journey with Diane in in Feb 2023, clearly after a number of months in therapy the workplace was a big factor in my own mental wellbeing. It was clear that I had an unperforming Executive team and that I was unable to run the business along with handling the demand of improving the executive team effectiveness.
Diane was a perfect fit to help me address the business challenges, and understood from many months working with me what was needed, So in Jan 24 Diane began working with Vigo Software.
Accountability
One of the biggest issues we noticed as soon as Diane joined was the lack of accountability. She focused a lot of energy on helping the leadership team get their act together regarding organisation and communication. This push clarified roles and responsibilities and made our management structures more effective.
Somebody to Say it
Diane from very earlier on in the process started to call out what she was sensing, this helped bring a new style of communication to team meetings, her ability to read the room was vital for the team to feel more confident in opening up and having healthy debate on business issues, this improved meeting structures, accountability for outcomes and to each other has team members.
Leadership Development
Diane has been instrumental in helping/coaching our Managers and Directors, and this in turn as began to deliver a number of benefits;
· A fresh perspective and re-energised view of what really needs tackling and removing obstacles
· The exec team have always been highly reliant and almost ignorant towards effective delegation, they are now More comfortable in delegating.
· With one to ones and time set aside for self-reflection, goal setting and feedback the Exec team are more confident to lead and achieve the business goals.
· More focus and attention on planning, communication, and performance measurement.
As a result, the executive team has become more coordinated and effective.
Challenging the Status Quo
It takes time to resolve conflicts and improve team dynamics, but with Diane’s support, people have started to feel more comfortable challenging each other in a positive way. There’s been a noticeable shift towards more open and constructive discussions between team members and their managers.
Well-Being
While Vigo has a great working environment, the executive team hasn’t been focused on balancing health and work-life priorities. Although they recognise mental health and stress-related issues, they needed outside training and support to manage these effectively. Diane stepped in with workshops emphasising the importance of well-being and personal accountability.

For me personally I let go of (some) control, began re-defining my role and how to be more effective.
